contents page annalysis 3

Masthead:
Base masthead is very common: red, thin, bold text. The font used is a sans-serif font; the font is very similar to rolling stone magazine.
Sub-lines:
The sub-lines are giving us the audience more of an advance on the story is about without exposing the whole story.
Setting:
It seems to me that the photographs took place in a studio as it is white.
White backgrounds:
The purpose in doing this is to prevent the audience from getting distracted from the text.
Sub lines:
In Base magazine they consist on a lot of subtitles, letting the audience get hints on the story without knowing the full background of the story.
Categories:
The magazine is separated into different categories such as drugs gangs and music.
Main image:
The main image is of a man looking directly at the camera as it is a medium close up. The photograph is in colour making it stand out of the background.
Other images:
There is an image of two Caucasian males, roughly at the age of 22years. It has a heading on top saying “the rubs”.
Target audience:
In conclusion I strongly feel that the targeted audience would be (male and female from all ethnic backgrounds) but mostly male in my perspective as I feel that male because they have no photographs of women and the magazine in my point of view has no relation to females .
